Despite having a surge protector and my computer's being turned OFF, lightning got my computer. Killed it deader than a doornail.

I'm at the library now checking my online banking. But I'll not be back online for a while.

Thanks for all the pings - please keep doing it though. I might can get back to town once in a while and check in here. (Town is a 50-mile round trip, if you can believe it!)
