But untapped resources could help break this cycle of price shocks. Liquefied natural gas (LNG), a shippable, compressed form of natural gas, is plentiful worldwide, and is found in places including Australia, Indonesia, Malaysia, Qatar and Alaska. What a POS article this is.

Actually, Bob, the article was quite sensible. The fact that the USA is unwilling to develop "local" sites does in fact put upward pressure on world oil prices. We have Tom Daschle, hitlery!, and the rest of the socialists running the dimo party to thank for this -- with honorable mention to a plethora of spineless Republicans, primarily in the Senate.

Not only that, but how about the article from the May issue of Discover (reported on FR) on the perfection of turning all kinds of waste into light crude heating oil. There is never again any reason in any city in the world to be without heating oil. How long will it take for these fledgling companies to be squashed out of existence? Five years ago a gel was discovered/invented which can be sprayed onto a building as a forest fire approaches. Not only that, it can be applied 2 weeks before. The fire burns right over and around the building, leaving it unscathed. The first year it was available at Home Depot. Then it disappeared. Why? Who bought the patent and spiked it?
