However, projects get shipped overseas all the time. I would rather import engineers than export jobs. H1B's are the kind of folks I want to immigrate: motivated, educated, and bright.

Oh and one other thing ... If you love H1B's so much ... then give one your friggin job ... don't expect the rest of us to give up ours so that some low life free traitor can make a easy buck.

He can have it... as soon as he can out-compete me. How are tarrifs going to stem the flow of engineering jobs? If you make the barriers high enough, companies in America wont be able to compete with those in Canada or Germany. Multinationals just laugh. Capital doesn't migrate; it teleports. Throw up enough barriers and Silicon Valley is going to look like Flint, Michigan. I think I just saw Michael Moore walking up Sand Hill road.

We don't really have a choice, but as long as they are importing workers we can still compete. If they export the jobs, we're Simply Out of Luck.
