"Another insightful commentary by a shrewd observer of the political scene."
Obvious sarcasm on your part. The reality is that the President is performing in such a manner that he is fracturing the Republican party and alienating a portion of its conservative core.
President Bush is too much of a poker player to not have thought this out before hand.
Possible interpertations could be that the President wants to pick up more ground in the middle from conservative democrats. Making inroads into the blue zone at the expense of the conservative party base........Good for Bush's career, but a deviation from true conservatism.
Maybe history will record Bush as a middle-of-the-road conservative. Seems like I recall from my high school history book that Eisenhower was described as that type.

Based on his 2004 fundraising to date,it appears the slaves enjoy the treatment,at least over the alternatives.

No, this just proves that the majority of folks with bumper stickers like these haven't got the sense God gave them.

Gee, the paleos seem to be out of sorts, lately.
Or those who seem to define RINO as "anyone who does not agree with me 100% on an issue".

Get ready for his second term. Four more miserable years for you.
