Well that settles it. These pictures are crap

If both guys were shaved (and better lit) they'd be more recognizable.

Wonder if the Pentagon is afraid to irritate Islamic sensibilities by not showing shaved pictures? (Surely after the autopsies there must be photos sans hair.)

Of course in life neither of the brothers observed Islamic law either in spirit or letter, facial hair laws included. But I suspect the brass are bing "sensistive."

How do you consider not publishing these pics to be "laying down"? An issue doesn't need to have merit for the media to pick it up and run with it and cause Bush all sorts of trouble, but there are real issues here. How would you react if Arab TV showed similar pics of dead American soldiers?

That's Buzkashi a sort of polo, really more akin to an American rodeo event than polo or soccer on horseback. But goats are as commonly used as are sheep, though those are not the only ones used for such sport, and more usually the entire carcass is used- the idea is to show the ability of the horseman [chapandaz] at grabbing up the critter at full gallop, as during a raid on an unsuspecting camp.

The Bedouin, in particular the Libyan Sunussi, enjoy something similar, though their game uses a rolling head, so something of the sort may not be entirely unknown in Iraq.

I worked in a hospital for years, I would come home in hysterics at some of the "hospital humor" but other people somehow failed to see what I though so funny...

I considered becoming a mortician for a while, but I found out I have the kind of mind that dwells on things. Not a good quality for that business.

It is amazing to find out that people can get broken, just like things. I remember seeing a man who a brick fell on his head. It looked just like a shattered china plate. And a woman with tire tracks across her.

But the dead deserve our notice. It is the last attention they get on this earth, and sometimes they have important things to reveal, good and bad.
