Recently a wealthy Chicago couple named Drobney announced their plan to bankroll a left-wing talk radio station. They neednt bother: the Left already has a multimedia starand even without a radio station, hes bigger than Rush, has more fans than OReilly, and sells books faster than Coulter...

Moore is hardly the first to engage in a little nostalgic mythmaking. What makes him unique is his willingness to construct his myths on a scaffolding of calculated untruths. It?s an irony worth savoring. Moore?s chief conceit is that he is the lonely truth teller, seeking out the story no one else is brave enough to touch. He repeatedly blasts the media for ignoring issues that only he, a lowly college dropout, has the courage to bring before a hoodwinked public. ?In the beginning there was a free press?well not really, but it sounded good,? the announcer of his TV series, The Awful Truth, would say as the show opened. But the awful truth is that Moore himself is a virtuoso of lying?which is the only way he can give the appearance of truth to his untenable theories.

I'm rather surprised that neither the Harry Potter or LOTR production crews have hired him to play a troll or some other nefarious creature. Think of all the makeup and special effects money they could save.
To: BillyBonebrake
Excellent read. I'd call him a scumbag, but that would be an insult to bags filled with scum.

Leave it to some well-informed Freeper to prove me wrong. Dang it. I hate it when that happens...
Heh heh heh
Good one.

I note they had to tone it down a bit though, mustn't scare the children too badly.
To: BillyBonebrake
Sells books faster than Coulter! And, eats burgers faster than the 'Ham-burglar!'

Truth can be scarier than fiction!

There is no need to excerpt from this source. You can post the whole thing. Really.

Are any of these claims verifiable? Does he outsell Ann Coulter's books? Is he more popular than Rush or O'Reilly? How could he be since he doesn't have a weekly or daily platform from which to spew his vile lies? I guarantee that if a survey was done of Joe Average Six Pack's around the country, more know Rush and probably even O'Reilly than this fat tub of excrement...
To: smith288
If he wants me to read it, he'll post it.
Note the superficial level of the discussion so far. All but a couple of responses are to the excerpt, not the article.
