In another poem, Baraka writes, “Rape the white girls. Rape their fathers. Cut the mothers’ throats.”

That is shockingly evil. Amiri Bakara should be imprisoned or institutionalized, not teaching at any institute of higher education. I can't believe that even liberals would pay to hear this guy's innane 'poetry'.

Hey not saying he's right, no. But at the same time, when was the last time that YOU heard of white people saying such things. What happened then? Did you make the same response: to that they should be ''imprisoned or institutionalized''? Probably not. You probabaly said nothing or just distanced yourself.

If white people were as GENUINELY outraged by racist acts/statements coming from white people, as they are toward the same from black people, I can bet you this country would have far less racial tension than it does know. But the fact its that white people (on average as a group) have no TRUE commitment to stamping out racism. What they have is a merely desire to avoid the APPEARANCE of it.

Therein is the type of ingrianed bais in this country that would drive a person like Amiria Baraka to those levels of hate.
