Then don't get pregnant. When you have sex you risk and accept the consequences.
It's not even a question of getting pregnant any longer: birth control does exist and it does work. Though it may be a sin, it is still a smaller one than murder.
I see no reason why, in this day and age in Europe (or in the USA, for that matter), a woman should get pregnant unless she wants to; if she can't deal with chastity, she can take the pill, or use a condom for example.
Public 'consultories' are available all over Europe (these are state run "family planning centres", where they have doctors, and social workers, etc. and they are free to all over sixteen, no questions asked.
This system was already working by the end of the 1970's, and I can vouch personally for their functionality. I walked in, I filled out a form, I got a doctor's appointment, had a visit, took some tests, and then went through a couple of meetings to decide what birth control I preferred (and, for example, I was informed that an IUD is an abortive method, and not a counterceptive one, so I refused it and opted for the pill). The whole thing cost about the equivalent of 10$. They set you up for your next visit, stress the importance of regular check ups etc. and everything is really well worked out. They follow the younger women closely and teach the importance of breast check-ups, pap tests, etc. This was the first place I heard about AIDS when no one in Europe was discussing it yet.
So there is really no excuse to get pregnant in the first place unless you want to.
Good points.
This makes no sense. I doubt many women who end up having abortions wanted to get pregnant. It doesn't add up. Even pro-Choice women would prefer not getting pregnant in the first place over having to have an abortion.
