Some liberal dingbat named "Corrina McFarland" runs US-based website where she rants on about Kucinich as Savior...appears she is a campaign volunteer and travels around with him. Anyways, the Japanese-Kucinich connection popped up here (interesting):

"The world is watching - the potential of having an American president in this consciousness is creating a wave of beneficial international focusing. Yesterday I had just the best connection with Yumi Kicuchi who flew in from Japan for THREE days(!) to be on the campaign trail with Dennis.< Here's the woman who translated "Addicted to War" into Japanese. She said in Japan they could not believe that America could produce a leader such as this. She played Dennis into the De Anza college session with her silver flute to honor him. Eight of us went to lunch together before the afternoon TV session. The conversation was scintillating. We talked about kilts4peace, Imagine America, Chicago, Santa Cruz, The World.....we talked dynamically about a life and world we would all be thrilled to participate in! May 27, 2003"

Yeah, I'll say. Kucinich is "getting world-wide coverage", Corrina. He's getting it right here today on 28 July 2003.

FEC getting a purge...NYTimes.com article.

Daschle and Pelosi guy in.

Explains why we could be having trouble.

"Fresh Hope for Fat Cats"
he pathetic record of the Federal Election Commission as the designated watchdog against the ravages of big-money politics is only growing worse. Scott Thomas, the stand-out commissioner on the F.E.C. who wants to clamp down on abuses, is to be removed in a stunning decision by the leaders of his own Democratic Party. Mr. Thomas, who is avid about the new McCain-Feingold law's attempt to control the money sluiceway, is to be replaced by Robert Lenhard, a lawyer for the labor movement who was part of the effort to block that law.

This wrongheaded nomination by the Congressional Democratic leaders, Senator Tom Daschle and Representative Nancy Pelosi, seems prompted by the resentment of party forces seething over the fact that Democrats who fought more than Republicans to pass McCain-Feingold also suffered more in the last elections. The law banned the abuse of unlimited "soft money" donations from unions, corporations and fat cats, and Bush Republicans have taken a sizable lead in raising the alternative "hard money" donations.

Wonder how the labor unions in Dennis's district would take to this information.

He had LTV, but has GM, and I believe Ford in his district.
