What kind of Mexican name is Richardson?

New Mexico is extremely diverse culturally. Hispanics first came to New Mexico more than two hundred years before the Unites States was born. You can tell absolutely nothing about a New Mexican's heritage by their name.

Hispanics came to New Mexico in the 1500s. Richard came in the 1980s. My cats have spent more time in NM than the current governor.

Yeh, but Richardson came to NM about 400 years later than that. I've lived in NM since 1978, which is longer than his residency here.
