Funded by the taxpayers of New York. You gotta love the Empire State. It elects Hillary as Senator and Bloomberg as Mayor of NYC.
New Yorkers, like Californians (and yes I'm a hostage in The Golden State), get what they deserve....

Society continues to slip into the gutter, with anarchists and Marxists and their lackeys in charge of the demise of the values that made us a society deserving of the respect of humankind and the blessing of God. The PC crowd made that high profile evangelical apologize for expressing his gut reaction that 9/11 was one of the results of promoting sexual aberration and immorality. In the name of all that is decent, did NYC's administrators not see and hear the message of 9/11? To nudge adolescents into an active homosexual choice at this age is an outrage. Professional educators have for several generations been among the dumbest of the dumb in our communities. The concept of magnet schools has been taken to an absurd degree. How low can we go?

This can't possibly be constitutional, can it? I mean geeze! How exactly does this pass the equal protection clause?

Finally segregation liberals approve of. If there were a public high school catering to evangelistic Christians or ultra orthodox Jews, watch the Left go bananas. Liberal hypocrisy knows no bounds.

I don`t have a problem with this. You get the gays and lesbians , and the kids of gays and lesbians, out of the mainstream schools and away from polluting the minds of the normal kids. Meaning, the subject of sexual orientation within the mainstream school becomes less prevelant of an issue because the subject is not presented to them ( or shoved in their face ) by the gay and lesbian students. A bonus to this would be to get the gay and lesbian teachers to go to the new school as well.

Exactly. Huge scandals are on the way for Bloomberg.

I would think that a public school for gay students would be clearly unconstitutional, but we live in strange times.

At a City Hall briefing, Mr. Bloomberg said, "I think everybody feels that it's a good idea because some of he kids who are gays and lesbians have been constantly harassed and beaten in other schools. So are the over weight kids .. should you open a school for just them?
Then there are the geeky looking kids .. should you open a school for just them also?
Bloomberg is making a big mistake going down this road .. NY will have every activist group pounding on the door demanding to have their own special school

Meaning, the subject of sexual orientation within the mainstream school becomes less prevelant of an issue because the subject is not presented to them ( or shoved in their face ) by the gay and lesbian students. Except the opposite will happen. They'll need more "gay teens" to justify their stupid school, so they'll have to convince more confused adolescents that since they had one "gay thought" that they are "gay" and they belong in the Harvey Milk-it-for-all-it's-worth School of Sodomy. So all the other schools will have recruitment rooms where "gay teens" and "questioning teens" (yes, they have that category) can go to learn about the Sodomy School.

Question: Will this school be held accountable? I mean, you know re: reading, writing, math, geography, science, as well as test scores, graduation rates - stuff like that.
I suspect it won't, for lots and lots of reasons.

Reading - about queers.
Writing - their own queer porn.
Math - adding up how many queers there are.
Geography - where the most queers are, the best places to go.
Science - studying the "gay gene".
And don't even think of the graduation parties.

This is ludicrous. That´s about all I can say about this story!
My deepest sympathies go to the New York taxpayer.

Thank you for straightening me out on that one !! I knew there had to be a hidden agenda in there somewhere. After reading a bit on this subject, it has become very clear to me now. Thanks for the links to the other threads.
