TV shows and ads have been giving this same impression of dads/father figures for over a decade. The dad is the dumbest cast member, easy to fool, easy to make mistakes. The housewife is smarter and can fix anything the husband louses up. But she should not feel confident, the teenager (or tween even) is smarter than all of them.

Yep. Programming for womans groups. Remember, TV is liberal, and therefore their programming pushes their agenda.
That's why it's called "programming." Get it?

Ah, no kids yet eh? There is one universal truth in life imo. Until you have children, you don't really know anything about life. Flame away! Who said I dont have em.

You also need to send your letter to all Bravo sponsors.

Otherwise, some gay clerk at Bravo will file your letter with the morning's soggy coffee grounds.

ex-Navy Seal cadet

You've GOT to be kidding me. You actually believe there is such a thing as an ex-Navy Seal cadet? That line was written by by someone who wears BDUs because they think they're slimming.

That tug at the edge of your mouth is a fish hook.

Years ago, prior to the rise of 'aids', my girlfiend of the time worked at the Fashion Mart in LA. So on a couple of occasions we were invited to parties at the homes of people with whom she worked. Most were homosexual.

Not wanting to be judgemental, I went along with the entire process, but I didn't find a normal, outgoing party atmosphere. 'Gay' men are not very happy, caught up in their own inner worlds of intolerance towards their own partners' endless infidelities and the 'outside' world, which somehow frustrates them, too. Yes, a guy tried to recruit me, but failing that, I was simply made to feel as an outcast.

Many years have passed and the basic premise of 'gaydom' still seems based on a rejection of functioning among 'normal' people, not any real biological disfunction. Misery loves company...

I knew something was up the week they ran that Cher concert, The crying game; Pricilla, Queen of the Desert, and queer eye all in the same week. NOt to mention that "alernate lifestyle" ending of a high-rotation travel commercial....

The Fab five won me over when they turned that fat schlub mountain-man artist into Russel Crowe, master and commander.

And Ted, the pictured in your post with the wine-bottel, is beyond cool.

I read a review that said the formula gets old after a few episodes...but so far it's two snaps up.

My favorite part is when they give fashion tips in little clips at the end of the show...talk about "what not to wear" (if you want to look straight). A lisping man, advising my husband to trade his briefcase for a big purse and to add cowboy belt buckles the size of his head to his ensemble gets plenty of gleeful editorial comment from those on the other side of the screen at my house.

Plus plenty of Eeeeewwwwwwws when they do the promo's for the houseful of boyfriends show.

Why would you let your children watch a show like that. I've watched the "Queer Eye" show, and thought it was better than I thought. The straight guy was trying to impress a girl, so I like that aspect of it.

Anyway, it is not a show that I would let my children watch. We have TIVO which has parental controls, and we use them.

"Queer Eye" is a lot easier than "Sex and the City" to explain. I don't like censorship, and I'd chose parental control over censorship.

"If you were telling somebody in 1979, that being gay was wrong, what argument would you have used?"

Tradition, the Bible, common sense, and the prospect of a permanent verry sore @ss.

Why do gay guys think that forelock up-do thing is an attractive hairstyle? It just looks stupid.

Some people watch the car accidents on FOX, CBS, and other "reality" shows. Doesn't mean that they want to be involved in a traffic accident (or even witness one in person).

That said, car accidents aren't good things and ALL of the viewers know this. Seeing such footage could at least let viewers understand the risks of dangerous driving. I don't think that there are any such scare lessons in "gay dating" shows.

Do you really believe the show is real? Hello. TV isn't real! It's entertainment and in this case propaganda in favor of gays. Watch FOX news. Come back to the real world.

As opposed to programming such as Joe Millionaire and paradise Hotel that teach carefree sex and reward promiscuity. Yes I watch FOX but think kids would be more harmed by those shows.

It does. You chose what channels you want to see in your guide, and if it is not listed you want go there with the channel up or down buttons.

The only way to get the channel is to punch in the exact number like "135", but with over 100 channels I don't remember what the channel numbers are. If kids don't ever see the channel listed, they will never know what the channel number is.

That tug at the edge of your mouth is a fish hook.

LOL. Now that was good.
Honestly. People really think TV is real. It's ALL image and sound programming. You can't fight it unless you're aware of it. The subconscious mind is liker a sponge, and hours of mental programming takes place across our nation 24/7."He who controls communication rules the world." - Adolph Hitler

"Reefer Madness" is a phoney argument. That movie had nothing to do with keeping people off of drugs. The filmmakers wanted to show 70 minutes of sinning (violence, sex/nudity, and delerium); it's called EXPLOITATION cinema.

Packaging it as an "expose" was an excuse to put it on the screen. The filmmakers and the audiences knew what they were getting (films more risque than those that adhered to the Hayes code).

Well, then, by that measure, all the heterosexual guys and women posting here must be plug-ugly. [grin]

Its the same kinds of overt racist statement like all blacks eat fried chicken, are lazy and unemployed, listen to rap music and are criminals.

Sorry, not all gays are over the top thong and chaps wearing cross dressing weirdos as much as the gay bashers here want them to be.

Since DirecTv relies heavily on rural subscribers who have no access to cable, you might have an effective tactic here.

We can assume that rural people are among the least interested in promoting sodomy on television.

An extended campaign, flooding them with mail and email, demanding that they remove this from your satellite and give you programming that you want could be very effective.

BTW, they don't care if you block the channel. That's exactly the solution they propose.

Perhaps you could look at their various programming packages and see if you could reduce to a lower priced one that does not include Bravo. Or check if Dish Network offers a Bravo-less package that still has your favorites (like FNC). Since the equipment and installation are free if you commit to a year's subscription, it shouldn't make much difference which service provider you use.

If you find an angle on this, you might tip off CWA (Concerned Women of America). A very conservative women's religious organization. They have strong followings all across rural America. Also, Focus on the Family would be a good outlet for spreading the word.
