SACRAMENTO - After a weekend of soul-searching, Arnold Schwarzenegger is preparing to pass up a historic shot to oust Democratic Gov. Gray Davis in California's first gubernatorial recall election, sources close to the actor said Monday.

While the Republican Hollywood actor has made no final decision, Schwarzenegger appeared ready to put family concerns ahead of his political aspirations.

It looks like the Kennedy clan women will put up with just about anything, but a conservative husband to run for office. Now there's real spousal abuse.

What a crock!

Rumor is that Maria is upset about all the tabloid dirt that Davis's goon squad is set to spill if Arnold announces a run. If she's bothered by infidelity, it's a first for a Kennedy wife.

Rumor has it that the Davis machine was ready to dump the dirt on Arnold in a big way and he chickened out.

RUN ARNOLD RUN!!!!!!!!!!!!!

and bring some coat tails to the next pres election too please

ANYONE can do this job if they bring the right talent with them. Ronald Reagan (GOD BLESS YOU RONNY!) could not do anything except lead people... and what a great president he was.

Ted to Maria

Maria -- you're my niece, and I love you. But don't ever take sides with anyone against the Family again. Ever.

Being elected governor of California now would like being named captain of the Titanic as they launch the life boats.

It is better to leave the 'state of confusion' in the hands of those who brought them to this.

Well, more names are popping up, like Moonbeam Brown!

If we can get several names on the left maybe we have a shot at removing Davis!

It might be interesting to see with whom he broke his holy and solemn vows of marriage (thus rendering him forever unworthy of the trust of decent people). And anyone taking the job of Mexico's next state is a fool.

The couple have four children under the age of 14, and Shriver -- whose uncle was President John F. Kennedy -- knows all too well the risks that come with running for political office.

Somehow I doubt that Arnold would be a target for assassination.

The established rumor in Hollywood is the two prominent names in Heidi's black book were Arnold and Kevin Costner. There are lots of other stories about Arnold floating around. Costner, too, for that matter. It's not big names for either of them, though. It's expensive party girls. Oh, and Helen Hunt is a lesbian, Tom Cruise and John Travolta are definitely gay, and Beck has just become a Scientologist.
