Oh, I think WKRP's star agriculture reporter knew turkeys couldn't fly. The Big Guy and Herb were responsible for that disaster.
Yes, and I think it was the big guy (Mr. Carlson?) who said "As God is my witness, I thought turkeys could fly."

BTW, one of the writers for WKRP in Cincinati worked at an Atlanta radio station (WQXI AM) in the 1960's, and I think the turkey episode (and several others) were based on his experience there. That was well before I moved to the Atlanta area, so I can't confirm that the Turkey incident really happened here, but I've heard that from many different sources, some of them in the Radio biz in the Atlanta area.

I heard that rumor too. (That it was based on a real event.) That was one of my favorite eps. Along with the one where they're trying to get the naked picures of Jennifer back from the sleazy photographer.
