Only 2 of the chicken$#!ts are needed to have a Senate quorum... should be relatively easy.
We could just pretend to be lobbyists for the TEA or the Texas Trial Lawyers Assn., wave a little "green" at 'em and they'd probably follow us anywhere!

Freep Contest (Texas Death Match)
Let's give the 'Democrats' a new theme song.
My suggestions are below.
1) 'Train In Vain' - The Clash
2) 'Fly By Night' - Rush
3) 'Come On Eileen' - but only the DEXIE'S MIDNIGHT RUNNERS version.
cheapshots are encouraged and wildly applauded.

I live in Alb. and went by the Marriott tonight.I talked to the hotel people....a protest there will be difficult...nothing allowed 500 yards from the place and the one guy who was out there by the freeway was told by the police to move.I am thinking of donning a chicken suit though and perhaps I can hand out fried chicken....any other ideas?

How about just getting down there, making a citizens arrest, and drag them to the texas border? Use a couple of boxes of krispy kremes to distract the state troopers. Too much of a hassle. Just send an undercover Texas Ranger to the hotel bar where Gonzalo Barrientos is undoubtedly intoxicated out of his wits. As the stumbling senator attempts to make his way to the restroom around 3AM, point him through the front door and into a waiting patrol car. He may proceed to leave a mess on the back seat but the ranger could hightail it back to the border and we got our 21 votes.

Once again the DemonRAT party shows itself for what it is ... a laughing stock, about to become extinct.

Folks, call me what you wish but I tell you this is a move by the National Democrat Party. It is the first step into leading America toward a dictatorship.
Think about it. The Democrats in Congress obstruct the judicial process to the point they get nominees that are liberal or that can be manipulated. Think, the Supreme Court has already started issuing opinions that are not consistent with the constitution. If the Democrats can pull this off and have control of the U>S> Supreme Court it is the first step toward controlling America almost like a dictatorship. Remember everything is controlled by the "Rule of Law", it is not a Democracy the way most think.
Call me ignorant or an old fogey but this is much more dangerous than people are willing to admit and it is being controlled by the Democrats with the help of the legal profession.
Those in control of the Democrats will not even allow their own party members to vote if they do not agree with them, how much more dictatorial can you be?
THINK ABOUT IT!

Texicans, you had better show these elected servants how the cow ate the cabbage - throw the bums out of office, this is not what they were elected to do. Can anyone imagine how long a Republican would last in office if they pulled this stunt? About two seconds and the media would be all over this. Get to work TEXAS!

Here is what the Texas Constitution says:
Section 10 - QUORUM; ADJOURNMENTS FROM DAY TO DAY; COMPELLING ATTENDANCE
Two-thirds of each House shall constitute a quorum to do business, but a smaller number may adjourn from day to day, and compel the attendance of absent members, in such manner and under such penalties as each House may provide.
Article 3 - LEGISLATIVE DEPARTMENT
Section 13 - VACANCIES; WRITS OF ELECTION
(a) When vacancies occur in either House, the Governor, or the person exercising the power of the Governor, shall issue writs of election to fill such vacancies; and should the Governor fail to issue a writ of election to fill any such vacancy within twenty days after it occurs, the returning officer of the district in which such vacancy may have happened, shall be authorized to order an election for that purpose.
(b) The legislature may provide by general law for the filling of a vacancy in the legislature without an election if only one person qualifies and declares a candidacy in an election to fill the vacancy. (Amended Nov. 6, 2001.)
We probably need an Attorney General's opinion on what constitutes a "vacancy", and who is the "returning officer of the district".
If the Senate Democrats going out of state during a Special Session constitutes a "vacancy" then the Governor can call a special election and they would be replaced. If the Governor fails to call for a special election to replace them, then after 20 days the "returning officer of the district" could call a special election and they would be replaced.
Also, the remaining Senators may be able to set a fine for each day the Democrat Senators are missing and fine them heavily.
Food for thought.
