The World's Most Dangerous Places. The account is written from a slightly left point of view, but the sardonic humour helps make up for it.
I have to agree with Mark Steyn. Our best option on this one is to stay far, far away.

If this is your introduction to his works, ask to get on Pokey's ping list, so you wont miss much of Steyn's output. He is so prolific, I doubt if anyone can read everything he produces each week.

As further backup to the other replies, I would mention that I've been reading for the last couple of years of the various interventions in Sierra Leone from a non-traditional source, that being Soldier of Fortune magazine. Based on what I've read of things there, nothing I read here seems at all out of line.
