"I am not going to trust the word of a tyrant when it comes to the security of the American people." GW

Thank you, GW.

I suppose the Libs are panicking because they sure are trying to turn up the heat on President Bush. Billy Boy is probably busting a gut by now because he will never be the man President Bush is and Hitlery won't either.

They must be really paranoid to have an entire political party try so hard to demonize President Bush. Look at all the time and energy they are spending just to try and justify their co-presidency.

Well, guess what, Clintons, it takes class and decency; something you will never have.

My freedom, in comparison to those Bush was referring to, is not an abstract. Maybe yours is, but not mine. It's real.

"America is a nation full of good fortune, with so much to be grateful for. But we are not spared from suffering. In every generation, the world has produced enemies of human freedom. They have attacked America, because we are freedom's home and defender. And the commitment of our fathers is now the calling of our time." George W. Bush Sept. 14th, 2001

"We will direct every resource at our command -- every means of diplomacy, every tool of intelligence, every instrument of law enforcement, every financial influence, and every necessary weapon of war -- to the disruption and defeat of the global terror network." Sept. 20 GW

"They hate is because we are free."

As in...

free to worship someone not named Mohammed
free to wear what we want
free to shave our beards
free to take out loans
free to eat bacon
free to drink a beer

Are we getting the picture yet?

The radical Muslims hate our freedom, and want America to bow down and serve Allah. They do not believe that a man can live a full life, without their God. They believe that only by following their God, will anyone receive the riches in their heaven. They believe in killing all infidels. They believe that America is the Great Satan.

I believe this is the people that President Bush is speaking about. September 11th showed America that some in this world wish to bring us to our knees. The conservative estimate of the casualties sought on September 11th, was 50,000 people, not the three thousand that died. This is the evil that the President is fighting against.

Oh my freedom is very concrete, thank you. But then again, I've had it my whole life. The ones Bush was referring to have not; it is therefore an abstraction to them.

They may very well hate us because we are not Muslim.

I forget the exact words but his recent ones about Condi being a high quality person and America being very fortunate to have her services struck me as very accurate and obviously DEEPLY FELT by him.

I figure she earns that kind of support and loyalty.

"They hate is because we are free." Possibly the dumbest thing ever uttered by a President not named Clinton.

You only think it is dumb. That's because you're too stupid to understand it, "imbecile"

All the media say George W. Bush "became" president when he climbed up on the WTC rubble to address the rescuers.

But I've always thought it was earlier that day, when he delivered his address at the National Cathedral:

"We are here in the middle hour of our grief.

This nation is peaceful, but fierce when stirred to anger. This conflict was begun on the timing and terms of others; it will end in a way and at an hour of our choosing."

________________________

"There are prayers that help us last through the day or endure the night. There are prayers of friends and strangers that give us strength for the journey, and there are prayers that yield our will to a will greater than our own. This world He created is of moral design. Grief and tragedy and hatred are only for a time. Goodness, remembrance and love have no end, and the Lord of life holds all who die and all who mourn.

It is said that adversity introduces us to ourselves."

_______________

"On this national day of prayer and remembrance, we ask almighty God to watch over our nation and grant us patience and resolve in all that is to come. We pray that He will comfort and console those who now walk in sorrow. We thank Him for each life we now must mourn, and the promise of a life to come.

As we've been assured, neither death nor life nor angels nor principalities, nor powers nor things present nor things to come nor height nor depth can separate us from God's love.

May He bless the souls of the departed. May He comfort our own. And may He always guide our country.

God bless America."

The entire address was like a Psalm. Very eloquent.

"We Americans have faith in ourselves, but not in ourselves alone. We do not know -- we do not claim to know all the ways of Providence, yet we can trust in them, placing our confidence in the loving God behind all of life, and all of history." George W. Bush 2003 State of the Union Speach

Tell me the glorious freedoms that the Muslim people enjoy in their native lands? Saudi Arabia, Afghanistan, Iraq, Iran, etc. Show me the glowing examples where they have helped the oppressed in the world to find the strength to fight for freedom. Show me the statistics about the numbers of people who immigrate to the Muslim nations, because of the freedoms that they enjoy.

He did not say that they hate freedom. He said that they hate us because we are free: free to dress as we want, free to worship as we want, free to choose our leaders, free to listen to music, fly kites and shave our faces too. These freedoms are a threat to their way of life and therefore any successful example of a culture where these freedoms are exercised is also a threat. We are a threat to them because we are successful and enjoy the freedoms that they will not allow their own people to have.

"Out of a Bush came words of fire!"

Hey, can he direct some of those words of fire towards our borders and economy?
