I hope people also read the part about Bush's 16 words in the SOTU addressabouttheIraq-NIger deal:

"Our Washington sources now reveal that, according to the new data reaching the White House from “very friendly” intelligence services operating in Africa, the US president got it right the first time. Saddam’s agents had indeed gone on a uranium purchasing mission to a number of African countries on the dates mentioned.

What went wrong was that the documentary evidence - handed to Bush by Italian prime minister Silvio Berlusconi in confidence, as DEBKA-Net-Weekly now reveals, had been doctored by anti-American, anti-war factions in Italian intelligence in such a way that it would be discovered and appear to be fabricated. They plotted to bring the three war leaders into disrepute by manipulating them into committing an untruth while also souring the warm relations between the Italian prime minister and the White House.

The identities of the Italian intelligence plotters were at the center of the two days of private talks held by Bush and Berlusconi at the presidential ranch in Crawford, Texas July 20 and 21. The Italian prime minister brought with him the results of a private investigation. DEBKA-Net-Weekly’s intelligence sources reveal that the agents who falsified the intelligence documents were also involved in staging the mass anti-war demonstrations that swept across Europe ahead of the American invasion of Iraq and accompanied the UN Security Council war debate.

They worked with accomplices in Russian, British, French, Dutch and German intelligence and allies in Africa in an anti-coalition front."

Dbka was right just recently about the 28 pages in the 9-11 report, the story Debka broke and the rest of the media picked it up a day later.

Debka is right a great deal of the time, unfortunately the Debka-haters seem to be on a mission to never discuss the actual news, just resort to bash Debka.

Yes!

The documents the Italians had were forgeries. Now we have to ask ourselves, who forged them and for What Reason?

Also I felt that this is the first Report I've seen that describes what David Kay's Team might be finding in Iraq.

The first clue that I saw was Tom Brokjaw's interview with David Kay in Iraq a couple of weeks ago. Kay at that time said that he had enough evidence of WMD to satisfy himself but that he knew that he had to satisfy everybody.

It's coming. And evidence of that will be the lack of DemocRATs talking about the lack of finding WMD. Perhaps the DemocRAT Senators and Representatives will not talk about what went on in the closed hearings the other day, but you can bet your ass that they are passing the word to their party members - don't complain about the lack of WMD evidence.

After the way the Democrats have been bashing Bush on Front pages for weeks about his statement in the SOTU about the Niger Iraq deal, this contains information, which the liberal media is not likely to pick up, which shows how anti-war intelligent agents conspired and tampered with the evidence. Read the part about "Were those 16 words really a gaffe?" in the middle of the article.

I can believe that is what happened.

This could be major:

"DEBKA-Net-Weekly’s intelligence sources reveal that the agents who falsified the intelligence documents were also involved in staging the mass anti-war demonstrations that swept across Europe ahead of the American invasion of Iraq and accompanied the UN Security Council war debate.

Debka's a lot more readable than our lamestream press. Even if Debka is wrong a lot. Debka reports ..... YOU DECIDE.

Debka has sparked a new style of news website. Some of their stuff must be trial ballons, fun and games, and smoke_'em_ outs for Israeli intelligence and Debka's friends that they "owe" for the good, accurate stuff.

And Klintoon Came out on Larry King and said the Democrats should drop the Yellowcake controversy.

That must mean WJC must know that Bush has got the goods on SadDamn's WMD program, because he certainly didn't go on Larry King to save Bush's career, that's for damn sure!

Thanks for finding this and posting it. Very interesting. Debka can miss the mark at times, but can we say it's less accurate than Reuters (i.e., the fake Pfc. Lynch story), the New York Times (Blair & co.), or the network news (quagmire, Bush lied, etc.)? Oddly enough, I don't see anyone complaining when something is posted from those "sources."

Did you follow them? For how long?

I found out about Debka a couple years or so ago ( before 9-11) on a message board. I had nothing for or against them, it looked interesting, so I have been following them since then, and they indeed break a lot of stories, and are right a lot of the time.

One of the reasons some of their stories aren't confirmed is because they are the type of murky intelligence stuff, but I have seen things hit the main media weeks and literally months later, as the news that we had special forces in Iraq for months before the actual war.

Just recently they broke that the 28 pages of the 9-11 report were leaked, then a day or so later, the rest of the media picked it up. When the Debka article was posted, the same Debka-haters jumped on it, then other media picked it up, and of course the Debka haters are too busy hating Debka, to recognize that they were right and way ahead of the crowd.

Of course some of the time their info is not correct, because they don't report open well known events, but intelligence type info/rumors sometimes, or they probably even publish disinformation.

But if someone follows them for a while, they can pretty much get a feel for what is what. They also produce some very insightful, interesting analyses.

"I just thought people deserve to have this info available to them, because the mainstream media certainly will not report about the massive WMD Paper trail. "

---

Exaclty. Then people can make up their own minds.

I find it amazing that people believe every word the New Times print, and reserve all their skepticism for Debka.

Pubbie wrote: Well the article's assertions about the Documents we've found could be very well be true because Kay said he had found more than enough to convince him there was a program just based on the WMD Documents alone. He also said he had found some "Physical evidence" but he of course did not go into anything specific...

True enough, but it is the specificity in the Debka report which has me wondering.

Is all this detail based on actual hard information or has Debka taken what Kay said publicly and from it extrapolated what seems to them to be a likely scenario by the SWAG (scientific wild-assed guess) syatem?

. Iraq is alleged to have attempted to buy it from Niger.

From what I've read here on FR, Iraq did get yellowcake - from Niger, and maybe another place or two - in the 80's. There were barrels of it sealed up by the UN. What is in ? is whether Saddamn had tried to get any recently. His head nuke dude went to Niger in 99 - either to get some uranium, cowpeas, or cattle (Niger's main exports).

Maybe, butr there are other parts of the article that are unlikely to be SWAG, for eampl, The discovery of documents that show that WMDs were transferred to Syria, The Discovery of Possible "Human Guinea Pigs", and the culprits behind the Forged Italian Intel documents.

These assertions are either based on what Kay is actually finding or they are (Extremely Romantic) distortions invented by Debka, but certainloy not SWAG - because the information is too specific, it's either a lie or true, but not SWAG.
