I come from a long, rather distinguished line of Curmudgeons and Revolutionaries. We fought the French King, the English King (4 times - in England, Scotland, in Canada, Valley Forge) the Mexicans, the yankees, in Cuba, Indians, WWI, WWII, and Vietnam. Those of us who are not actually fighting are required to try and start something! If a foreign enemy, or rotten government does not show up, the Marines make a good sub! ;-)

Hmmmmmm.....I don't think I remember seeing a flag waving on those cliffs when I was growing up. It's funny how just a rocky cliff can bring so much comfort. On the way back from San Antonio, those rocks meant home was getting closer. :)

You can count me in the group that LOVES Texas, Billie. When Jack was playing music we spent a lot of time in Texas and have some good friends there. We played on a regular basis in Amarillo and it is one of our favorite towns. San Antonio is a beautiful city. Austin was where we went to play the Armadillo before it burned down. Played at Lackland AFB and Randolph AFB a lot. One of the most memorable times of my life played out at a little joint called Ben & Bob's at Lake Travis (a tale for other times.)
