Afternoon ma'am. Thank you kindly for the waltz.

Like Mama Bear, our family drove across Texas back when I was a pup. Don't remember too much of it, so I hafta rely on the old 8mm home movies to unclutter the cobwebs. Seven of us in a '47 Chevy with no air conditioning, no tape player, no CD. Just an old AM radio and my sister leading the singing to the songs on the radio. We did have an air conditioner of sorts. It was mounted on the passenger window and it had a tank which was filled with ice and water. More like a swamp cooler once the ice melted and the water warmed up from the hot Texas sun.

Our Texas destination was Beaumont. We saw the whole Great State of Texas from west to east through the windows of the car long before the interstate.

We figured the state tree for Texas was an oil derrick after seeing so many of em.

Once we got to Beaumont, we experience first hand the hospitality of Texans. Uncle Victor prepared and served up his recipe of fricassee chicken.

Someday, after I win the lottery, I'd surely enjoy visiting Texas again. Would take a year or so to get all around the state visiting the sights and all the Texas FReepers.

Thanks for the tour. I've still got some dance tickets left... May I have the next waltz?

I would be honored to waltz with such a fine-looking, whiskered gent. Especially since you're wearing a white hat. :)
