The only hope (?) is if the conservative Episcopalians split (starting in October?) and the ELCA mis-leaders get scared that their budget will go down the drain when our conservatives split as well. I almost surely will be part of any such exodus, and I won't be quiet about it.My daughter married an Episcoplian. He has spoken with his pastor in Northern Georgia to tell him that his family could no longer attend the Episcopal Church should this fellow become a bishop.
His pastor told him that leaving that church would not be necessary because they would split from the US Episcopal Church.
That made Grandpa, that's me, a happy guy.
That's the problem. They can't split. The denomination owns the church building and the cemetary.
