found sex toys in the company dishwasher. I shudder to think what she would find in the company trash cans.

When you work at a place like that you've just got to expect those things. I smell a gold-digger. I was thinking the same thing. The fact that Larry Flynt is a world class slimebag is pretty well documented. What makes the woman think that she could expect anything less.

Or blow dry?

I don't think this is about money, since she waited a year to file the suit.
This is about embarassing Flynt as he runs for Governor. I wouldn't be surprised if Davis or his henchmen were behind the suit.
Anyone embarassed by sex toys doesn't belong in Larry Flynt Enterprises, that's for sure. And I'm sure the jury will agree. At least a California jury will :-).
This isn't comparable to a black maid under a white supremecist, because being a well-known satyr and publishing an X-rated magazine isn't against the law, while discriminating against blacks is.

This is about embarassing Flynt as he runs for Governor. I wouldn't be surprised if Davis or his henchmen were behind the suit. I don't think it is necessary that Davis be behind it. A sharpie lawyer will zoom in on Flynt at just this time, and try to leverage a good settlement out of him. Face it, if this woman goes to court saying she was sexually harrassed at Hustler Magazine, she'll be laughed out of court. The way this lawyer gets paid is if he gets Flynt to settle in order to avoid further embarrassing revelations.
Over at Larry Flynt enterprises, they have to figure this woman has more details, including names, dates and perhaps even payment information. They might just come up with some money to make her go away at this time. And the lawyer gets a third.
Face it, if your payday is based on embarrassing Larry Flynt in public, you have a pretty small time window to work with. Next month, he'll be right back to don't-give-a-d&mn mode.

I think you're right.

"a smut peddler who cares"
This really doesn't have anything to do with Flynt, but do we really need politicians who "care"? Wouldn't it be better to have an elected official who didn't "care"? That way they'd get off our backs.
