Several years ago the UCC lost me when they ordained openly homosexual pastors. It sent the message that thumbing your nose at God is acceptable. I was appalled by my Pastor's response to the change and left.
Women Pastors or Priests are not biblically supported either. It was Jesus Christ himself who said that Men were to be spiritual leaders and pastors. Whatever we think about women's and men's equality issues are not important, but only the actual teaching of God himself.
Our responsibility is to obey his word and rebuke those who are unrepentant. Beyond that we can do nothing else.

as a former radical feminist, I must say that I do agree with you, women are not called to lead the church body. I am in ministry but not in a leadership role. As a divorced woman I never understood the necessity of there being a man of only "one" wife. But over the years I have begun to understand the difference.
