My daughter's family recently moved to a brand new development near Fort Worth, TX. As she met her new neighbors, she was surprised that there were five families from Wisconsin on her street. They were unanimous in saying that they were happy to get out of there and away from the outrageous taxes they were paying on homes that were not nearly as nice as theirs in Texas.

I recall, once upon a time, meeting some guys at a really "Keen" software company in Madison WI who were about to release a new game. Since they didn't want to be "Doom"ed to pay high state taxes, though, they moved to Texas.
