No doubt. And for a woman who claimed to care so much for her boys, why wasn't she home that night instead of running drunken wild with some foreigner?

I agree. That fateful night. Di & Do-do bird were out painting the town. Charles was at home sleeping. Camillia was at her home sleeping. Queen Elizabeth was at home sleeping. As were all the rest of the royals.
Di had gotten rid of palace security that very night. Telling them and the palace, she didn't want or need them. She was capable of taking care of herself. And look how she ended up that very night.

"After a few years of the husband's family, she probably started to lose it."
Could be. I'm not so sure she realized the full implications of her juvenile behavior.

He is Flashy for sure. I wonder if he is also a coward?

Di used her sons for 'photo opts.' Behind closed doors the nanny kept them out of Di's way.

You're right about the obligation to serve. Technically, Hewitt is guilty of treason and could be eligible for the death penalty -- if something happens to Wills and Harry the "spare" becomes the "heir", and if the allegations here are true, Hewitt will have destroyed the royal bloodline and substituted his own.

We all need symbols to create a strong nation. These people we elevate to positions of power over us are only human. True. The problem with making a human the symbol of your nation is that they are human, and all that that entails.
In the U.S. we made our flag our symbol. It cannot embarass us.
I hope things work out for you. I am an American first, but I am also an anglophile.

...if something happens to Wills and Harry the "spare" becomes the "heir", and if the allegations here are true, Hewitt will have destroyed the royal bloodline and substituted his own.If Hewett knew this to be even half true he'd be selling those suspicions as well. I feel sorry for Di. Yes, she should have been at home that night and she holds a lot of the blame but I can't help but think she was trying to retaliate from Charles, Camilla, Elizabeth, and Royalty.

"retaliate from Charles, Camilla, Elizabeth, and Royalty."By "retaliating", (I'd call it rebelling), it cost her her life.
She rebelled against the royals, and made no bones about hating them. However, she didn't refuse the 26 million dollars she got of "royal money," did she?
Di was a very unstable person and didn't have much education. Not even a high school diploma. Instead of sleeping around, why didn't she get an education & do something with it? She chose to run around the world like a juvenile with all the money in the world, and thought the world was her oyster.
