Al Gore, still clueless

Dare we hope that somebody will offer Al Gore a real job? Selling slacks and jackets in ``earth tones'' in a haberdashery perhaps?
Gore's speech Thursday, arranged by a group opposed to the war against Iraq, shows that he doesn't have a clue about the nation's problems.
It's particularly offensive to hear Gore claim that U.S. soldiers are dying because of the miscalculations, mistakes and misjudgments of the Bush administration. Every administration makes mistakes in fighting wars, and those mistakes mean soldiers get killed.
The question ought to be: What were the alternatives when the crucial decisions were made? Gore was at the heart of an administration that avoided confronting terror, refused to take custody of Osama bin Laden when offered the chance, and from all evidence ``wagged the dog'' by attacking Sudan when Monica Lewinsky was claiming the headlines. He's almost the last person on earth qualified to criticize tactics.
The former vice president's analogy between President Bush's rejection of the Kyoto treaty on global warming and the president's argument that Saddam Hussein's weapons of mass destruction were a threat (Gore claimed that both showed selective use of evidence) amounts to intellectual dishonesty. What about the 95-0 Senate vote telling Gore's old boss, President Clinton, not to bother submitting the heavily flawed Kyoto agreement for ratification? What about the unanimous agreement of the U.N. Security Council (which couldn't agree on what to do) that Saddam's weapons were indeed a threat?
We fail to see how the Democrats are going to recapture the White House if loud nit-picking like this is the basis of their claim to the voters' favor.

Al Gore has the blood of Americans on his hands and knows it. The only way to remove the stains is deny, deny, deny. He must devote the rest of his life to shifting the blame.
Inaction and complacency allowed the terrorists to attack in New York and Washington.

'Arranged by the leftist group' at Gore's request! He also requested that Cuomo, who's trying to show he's still relevant in the age of clintonism, come out for his running for President. What a bunch of LOSERS!
To: Gothmog
The sad thing is that if Hillary runs for pres, there are enough dems out there to give GW a run for his money.

They are certainly a bunch of losers, but don't count them out! If the sheeple of this country elected the likes of Bill Clinton (twice!!!), they can certainly elect this guy--or any other of the circus of dim candidates purportedly running for president next year.
And, of course, Miz Hillary is just sitting back and watching all that's happening, ready to jump in and come to the rescue anytime. I'm here to say that Hillary "can" be elected unless all of us on the right side get more involved than ever before.

Gore was fine with 5 million dollar missles taking out 5 dollar tents and hitting camels in the butt.

I have seen that reported somewhere too...(the Cuomo request and the moveon.org speech)but only briefly. Why is the media not reporting it more widely? ooops..guess I know the answer to that. On the surface it seems that there is huge support for Algore to run in '04...when in actuality, it is Algore himself who is promoting Algore.

This guy is an on-going joke. Speaking of military mistakes...somebody please post the picture of him with his own rifle pointed to his head.

Right on. You hit the nail on the head. He stands by while things happen. Thank God he was not in the Oval office on 9-11. Al Gore is a loser...always has been and always will be. He's desperate and still doesn't have a clue.
To: duckman
A Hillary run would ensure a Republican victory. Every Republican in America would be at the Voting booth. Hillary: Love her or hate her. There's no in between.

Thank God he was not in the Oval office on 9-11.The thought of Gore addressing our nation without the benefit of a backbone or moral clarity and with the tone of an elementary school teacher, makes my skin crawl. Al Gore doesn't know how to protect or love his country, his source of political inspiration is hatred and opposition. That he still polls so high among Democrats is really frightening to me and I'm not sure how anyone can conclude that it's not a sign of the Dems bankruptcy.
