The first tech jobs shipped overseas two decades ago involved programming. But now the work is getting more complex: the development of software and design of Web pages. This sentence leaves me flabbergasted! Designing web pages is more "complex" then programming? "Programming" and "the development of software" are not synonymous?

I live in the Detroit suburbs. I do mostly contract work, which is like playing "musical jobs" every six months. My last contract just ended, and I have already had two interviews and another one scheduled for this week.
Some things that I have listed on my resume is "excellent communication skills" and "ability to explain complex technical concepts in plain English."
