There are more Democrats in California than there are Republicans because the state is not conservative any more. If you want to govern California you must compromise to some extent. If you don't compromise with the moderate/liberal Republicans (that means neither wing gets everything it wants), the Democrats will continue to govern California.

Simon had his chance and lost. Arnold is way ahead of McClintock in the latest polls and if that lead continues the Republicans who are in the race should unite around Arnold as the one Republican to oppose the Democrat(s).

Whatever happens, no Republican should run ads against any other Republican. We need one major R candidate during the final 2-3 weeks.

The more women that scream he "groped me" the greater his margin of victory. Well except for the religious right wing of the republican party... but it won't matter. Most of them were going to vote for anybody else.

Rove vetted this stuff on arnold in april when arnold met him at the whitehouse. The "groping thing" will prove a minefield for democrats in California... should be fun to watch the fireworks amongst feminists and their allies on such matters... in the republican party.

My initial impression last week was that if Arnold ran, he would win... and the only danger was a freak "heart attack" or something similar.

The democrats MUST not lose California, it makes hillaries plan for assuming power in a future election... go to hell. They think they can beat simon AGAIN... or the nonamerecogition McClintock. But Arnold... there is a problem beating him.

Some democrats need to be concerned about their own health... and should be... if this kind of transparent threat technique continues with ANY candidates, from gary coleman to arnold p ziffle.

The problem with the "rinos are dems" sentiments we ALL express from time to time is that dems will kill to stay in power ( I mean cold blooded murder) whereas rinos usually only compromise to stay alive...

I think there is a very real danger to Arnold... And hillary and bill are a motivating force behind that danger in MY opinion.
