He's urging Simon to drop out of the race and asking why anyone would vote for him. I like Simon, I've met him a few times, he's a nice guy, I supported him in the last election, but he has no chance unless Schwarzenegger drops out.

but he has no chance unless Schwarzenegger drops out. This was exactly what everyone was saying about Riordan in the fall of 2001.
Liberal Arnold will drop out all right. He'll start dropping like a rock in the next few weeks as liberals and conservatives all find reasons to roundly dislike him.

He probably doesn't have a chance even if Arnold does drop out. Simon's been rejected by CA voters in favor of Davis, and the stain Davis spread all over him will stick.

Good for Medved to encourage Simon and others to drop out. If conservatives want a voice, they need to help give Arnold a mandate. Rats will scream illegitimate if Arnold is elected with 30-35% of the vote. If conservatives can get him up to 40-50% it will pay off for them down the line.

Mike Savage tonight just said: "Arnold is nothing more than a stealth DemocRAT." Mike disdains the whole idea of Arnold being a good candidate and hopes that Mc Clintock will win, but doubts it.

Schwarzenegger is still no shoe-in. It's his race to lose at this point, but he could still blow it. Voters are fickle. The short camplaign is in his favor. If he does stumble, I want McClintock to be in position right behind him.

Simon and any other Republican candidate would lose if Arnold dropped out.
