NEA 'Gay Axis' Becomes Evident
Family Issues in Policy and Culture ^ | August 11, 2003 | Terry Phillips

Teachers' union rebuffs efforts to change the message given to the nation's students about homosexuality.

A rigid homosexual bias within the leadership of the National Education Association (NEA) is clearly evident as the huge teachers' union resists any move to provide information that same-sex attraction can be changed.

Sissy Jochmann, a spokeswoman for the Conservative Educators Caucus, asked this year's NEA delegates to consider helping kids who experience same-sex attraction but don't like those feelings. She spoke to the full convention.

"When I read my speech, you could not believe the thunderous roar of people not even wanting to consider it," Jochmann said. "There might have been a hundred people out of 9,400, or so, delegates that wanted to debate it."

Regina Griggs, a spokeswoman for Parents and Friends of Ex-Gays and Gays (P-FOX), said former homosexuals were there, too.

"There were ex-gays who tried to speak on the floor, who had our message, and were denied," Griggs said.

The plea was for the NEA to promote a message of hope for troubled students. Dr. Warren Throckmorton — a psychologist and counselor at Grove City College, a Christian liberal arts college in Grove City, Pa.— said students who wonder about their sexuality need information.

"They need to know that . . . what they experience in adolescence does not obligate them to a lifelong identity," Throckmorton said.

Jochmann said she thinks the NEA is run by liberal activists because conservative teachers have let it happen.

"(The) number one blame has to be on us — conservative (and) moderate teachers in the NEA who are sitting back, letting the NEA collect our dues, and we're doing nothing," she said.

Jochmann said it makes no sense for those teachers to pay dues and quietly accept the NEA's radically liberal social agenda.

QUEERING THE SCHOOLS
City Journal ^ | May 29, 2003 | Marjorie King

At a high school in prosperous Newton, Massachusetts, it’s “To B GLAD Day”—or, less delicately, Transgender, Bisexual, Gay, Lesbian Awareness Day. An advocacy session for students and teachers features three self-styled transgendered individuals—a member of the senior class and two recent graduates. One of the transgenders, born female, announces that “he” had been taking hormones for 16 months. “Right now I am a 14-year-old boy going through puberty and a 55-year-old woman going through menopause,” she complains. “I am probably the moodiest person in the world.” A second panelist declares herself an “androgyne in between both genders of society.” She adds, “Gender is just a bunch of stereotypes from society, but I am completely personal, and my gender is fluid.”

What do NEA teachers do in texas? In texas its THE LAW that homosexuality be taught as an undesireable lifestyle. No wiggle (weasel) room.

The NEA will not change unless the rank and file want it to change. Rember the Union is not there to protect excellent teachers, its there to protect the bad to mediocre teachers.

"Gender is just a bunch of stereotypes from society, but I am completely personal, and my gender is fluid.”

Gender in correct English usage, never refers to people, only to nouns and pronouns. The teachers who put on this stupid program ought to be severely censured for stupidity, as well as for their mischievous intent.

The old carnival and circus side shows, at least, never pretended to be serving an altruistic purpose. This is just as clearly a "freak" show, but a far crueler misuse of the exhibits, than those who merely claimed to be pandering to the gawkers. These poor bilogically mixed up young people are being used for one purpose, and one purpose only, to desensitize children away from their normal understanding of human sexuality. There is nothing remotely compassionate about this exercise. It is a vicious, cruel and despicable game that is being played.

"It is a vicious, cruel and despicable game that is being played."

It's no game; it's 'public servive politics' - and the so-called 'cruelty' is surely a small sacrifice to be made for the creation of a New American Democracy greater than us all!

We have seen the future and it works!

The "educrates" who can't teach Johnny to read, write or do math -- should NOT be permitted to teach ANYTHING else!

Government schools should NOT be teaching any social concepts contrary to traditional family/moral valued...

If schools must be free of religion -- they should also be free of anti-religious propaganda..unless and until all sides of an issue are given without bias.

Awesome letter by parent. If only a couple million more could be sent. Evil wins when good men/women do nothing.

I'd be willing to bet that you are not alone, given the recent polling data. Lets just hope that their unpopularity increases day by day. God is long-suffering, not eternity suffering.

Our poor children..... They aren't safe in the womb, in their homes, cars, schools, and even some churches. We need to barrage the Lord with prayer for them.

Then pray, pray, pray, and when you done, pray some more.

Craig, the NEA Exec. says, be strong, honey....

A man escapes from a state prison in South Carolina where he had been kept for 15 years. As he runs away, he finds a house and breaks into it, looking for money and guns, but only finds a young couple in bed. He orders the guy out of bed and ties him up in a chair. While tying the girl up to the bed, he gets on top of her, kisses her on the neck, then gets up, and goes to the bathroom.

While he's in there, the husband tells his wife, "Listen, this guy is an escaped prisoner, look at his clothes! He probably spent lots of time in jail, and hasn't seen a woman in years. I saw how he kissed your neck. If he wants sex, don't resist, don't complain, just do what he tells you, just give him satisfaction. This guy must be dangerous, if he gets angry, he'll kill us. Be strong, honey. I love you."

To which the wife responds, "He was not kissing my neck. He was whispering in my ear. He told me he was gay, thought you were cute, and asked if we kept any vaseline in the bathroom.

Be strong, Craig, I love you, too."
