Houston police and the Secret Service are investigating the death of an electrician who fell nine stories from a Memorial Drive office building where former President Bush keeps an office.
Police said New Caney resident Charles W. Clenden was laying cable Tuesday night just above the ninth floor, where Bush's office is located. He apparently walked across an air shaft covered by sheetrock and plywood, and it gave way.
He plunged to the ground floor but wasn't found until sometime later by a security officer making his rounds. By the time an ambulance and police arrived shortly after midnight, he was dead.
The office building is in the 10000 block of Memorial, near Chimney Rock.

Is the fact that former President Bush has an office there relevant?

He assumed that the sheetrock was laying on a solid floor. That's what happens when you assume.

It's gotta be Bush's fault somehow.

What did Bush know and when did he know it?

...also, my wife noted that there were a bunch of satellite trucks camped out in the building's parking lot this morning.

Quite true. Why they're making a big deal out of it being near Bush 41's office, I don't understand.

Quite true. Why they're making a big deal out of it being near Bush 41's office, I don't understand. For them, it's the equivalent of someone falling to his death near Klintoon's office and having us immediately pipe up with "Arkancide!".

What genius covers a hole with sheetrock? Sheesh.
