Please, please stop making this about abortion. It's not about abortion, never was, never will be.

"The Senate decided that the dividends an individual receives should be 50 percent free of tax in 2003, 100 percent tax-free in 2004 through 2006 and then again fully taxable in 2007. The mental flexibility the Senate demonstrated in crafting these zigzags is breathtaking. What it has put in motion, though, is clear: If enacted, these changes would further tilt the tax scales toward the rich."

(1) Whether or not a person thinks slaughtering innocent children is a good idea is THE indicator of whether or not they are socially conservative.

Many Republicans insist on voting for a person who has a conscience.

(2) Warren Buffett is NOT a fiscal conservative.

HE OPPOSES TAX CUTS.

HE SUPPORTS ALL GREAT SOCIETY SOCIAL PROGRAMS.

HE SUPPORTS ESTATE TAXES.

HE SUPPORTS PROPERTY TAXES.

Before you keep saying Buffett represents "our" point of view, examine what "our" means in the context of FR.

Regardless, Hildy. Buffett has reams and reams of liberal social and fiscal baggage.

Please, please stop making this about abortion. It's not about abortion, never was, never will be.

Since the Supreme Court has handed much authority over abortion back to the states, a governor's views on abortion ARE relevant -- especially the governor of the most populous state in the union.

I'm sorry you don't like it, but the slaughter goes on and a lot of people DO care about those babies.

There are a lot of life-related issues that can and will come up. The governor signs a budget every year that contains money for the ongoing killing. There are a whole slew of new life issues, that the Democrats can hand him to make things even worse. His views on the topic are very, very relevant.

Hi Hildy -

You'll never convince many here that none of this is or even should be about abortion. Insistence on sticking to very conservative principles will possibly cost us yet another election, though many of the rest of us went ahead and voted for Simon last time, albeit half-heartedly. It STILL didn't help!
