The candidate for governor has criticized 'fat cats' for avoiding taxes. She denies taking advantage of loopholes and unfair deductions.

TV commentator and author Arianna Huffington, who launched her campaign for governor with criticism of "fat cats" who fail to shoulder a fair share of taxes, paid no individual state income tax and just $771 in federal taxes during the last two years, her tax returns show.

Huffington, who released her tax returns for the last two years to The Times, lives in an 8,000-square-foot home in Brentwood above Sunset Boulevard that is valued at about $7 million. She socializes with many wealthy and prominent people.

Can't stand the hypocrisy, but I do admire her for working the system. A little over $700 for the last 2 years? You go girl!

The candidate for governor has criticized 'fat cats' for avoiding taxes. She denies taking advantage of loopholes and unfair deductions.

She also carps about SUVs and corporate jets being wasteful, but often travels on charter jets and gets driven around in limosines (per the Sean Hannity radio show).

Of course she denies taking advantage of the tax laws. Its just like to liberal to say one thing and then do a completely different thing when they think no one's watching them. Arianna Huffington's a rich b*tch liberal hypocrite.

"The H should stand for hypocrite."

Yes, I don't have any problem with people using the tax code to the fullest to legally minimize the amount of taxes they pay but I do have a problem with a vocal hypocrite.

Dittos.

I once read a Supreme Court ruling that stated that citizens have no obligation to pay any more taxes than they are legally obliged to pay and that citizens may arrainge their affairs to minimize their tax liability.

Admittiedly Arnold is far wealthier, but he paid huge taxes, and gave away millions in charity. He puts his money where his mouth is.

Arianna Huffington is a dilettante, and an obnoxious one.

Here she is with her buddy, Al Franken...

I don't have a problem with it either my friend. I just hate it when you know... liberals don't live up to their high-falautin' principles. I would still disagree with them of course but I'd have some respect for them. For Arianna the Greek Harpy, I have NONE.

Don't tell me - she got extended deductions for driving in her "Honda Prius" (Hannity fans will get the joke) and for taking planes that were already going places, right?

Feh.
