'08? You are nuts-if you mean a run for prez. Have you read the Constitution? It prohibits foreign born, naturalized citiezens from holding that office. I have realized entirely why they did that-in the last decade with this invasion of aliens. No foreigners! Has anyone seen the wonderful story about a man named Arnold & his sweet freind from Austria-Kurt? Furt had fun back in the old days-he dressed up in a cute uniform & had funny 'SS' on his lapel He did funny things to people-Arnold said at his wedding, that he & Maria loved Kurt. They toasetd him, to the horror of the Kennedy's!!

This will be really fun to see in the campaign.

Have you seen this proposed amendment sponsored by Orin Hatch?

The reason the natural born citizen requirement was included in the Constitution was because King George I came to the throne in England in 1714. George was a distant cousin of Queen Anne and the closest male heir but he grew up in Germany and knew German and hardly any English. (The king of England didn't know English LOL) So when Anne died George becomes a king who knew very little of about workings his kingdom. The Americans at the constitutional convention knew about George's reign as king earlier in the same century.
