what I think the amount of docs they gave defense was over 27000 pages of discovery. Which is, yes, a lot of info there. Maybe that is why Geragos is so up and up in spinning the info, to confuse possible jurors... ;o(

that was in the beginning of the searches, in Dec. .... which ultimately led the dogs towards Yosemite, ie Hwy 132 area. .... Pure Scaughty street smarts area... He had to get going out of that area, rather than hit Northern section of the scenic park area. Direct route to take him to Hwy 132 towards SF.....

We know who you mean. I did go back and find out where the statement about the Petersons being barred from the entire proceedings was. It was by a CTV news briefing by Diane Diamond!! Yesterday. I am sooooooo anxious to see some of the evidence they have. September 9th seems like a year away LOL!

Have you found out WHO this Kristen Deppenwolf is??? I wonder if she is the whacko that says she was raped by some satanic types and they said to her that they would kill a pregnant woman on Xmas eve. On it's face it's clear it's bull. Also, that woman is apparently mentally ill. I don't know if it's the same woman tho. Who was this woman a so-called witness for?? If it's the Prosecution then it won't be the one I just described.

As Sandylapper pointed out, Kristen Deppenwolf's name is listed as the answer given by the prosecution to some discovery question by the defense. (We can't see the question in the document.) It's in those court filings RB posted on this thread. So it sounds like it was the prosecution who used the hypnosis techniques. To me, that makes it sound like Kristen is a witness for the prosecution, not for the defense.

Our only hope is to find somebody RELIABLE that won't slant their "reporting" and stick with them.

I wonder how much room for the media they will reserve. I like KFI's radio reporter, Laura Ingle, who has covered the trial wonderfully for radio. As far as TV goes, who would Fox News send? Court TV?

I said this before. Part of the killer's crime is to force the loved ones to go through this horror. It did not stop with the deaths. I feel so, so bad for the Rochas, but this is part of the horror their loved ones' killer perpetrated.

I totally agree with you concerning the Rocha's. I would think that seeing the perpetrator "exposed" and tried would help them some. In any event, the Public has the right to see this man tried ( and convicted). Families cannot just use the media when they want their help and then suddenly expect them to drop it before the end. Same goes for the public. The public became deeply involved in searching for Laci during the Xmas holidays. Some (like the Police chief) left his family on christmas eve to organize and institute all the search resources they had. Rocha's have to know that this is part of the process. I watched Nicole Simpsons family sit there through 9 straight months of court time. Her killing was extremely brutal also. In fact her sister even testified.

The family will have to re-live this all over again. This is to protect them.

How will this work? If the Rochas are planning on attending every single day of the trial, as I assume they are (I sure would be!!!), how will not showing the trial on TV "protect them" from reliving this?

Reading a transcript is fine, but you don't get voice or demenor

And you sure won't get them every single day.

Exactly!! There is NO way that they are going to be spared the details. Somehow I take it that they are saying that the Public shouldn't be allowed to hear the details!! How does that affect them if we hear it also?? I don't get it!!

, were up-to-date with their shots, were not more than 3 years old

Don't laugh; Geragos is obviously pulling out ALL the stops.

And the more he does, I think it makes Scott look guiltier, if that's possible.

Think about it -- he's grasping at straws, so he must know there's nothing else to go after.

LOL. I remember watching the re-enactments of the Simpson civil trial on the Entertainment channel. Those were hilarious.

It would be great if some enterprising producer decided to do the same thing for the Peterson prelim. We could see bad actors emoting the high points of drama.

Seriously, we'll just have to figure out what network gives the best coverage, and the least spin. I still expect that the actual trial will be televised, and I'll be disappointed if it's not.

I absolutely agree. Asking nitty picky questions like that shows he's straining at gnats!! He expects us to gulp down camels while he strains at gnats!! LOL

Some of the court reporters do "real time" transcribing -- I have never able to master that and use a stenomask, and my hats off to them for their ability.

I've seen some of those transcripts from real time reporting......UGH. Talk about errors.

I will be disappointed too but like you I'm holding out hope for cameras for the trial. Justice is NOT meant to be done in secret.

Maybe it is as people talked about on down the thread, the judge thinks it's about tainting the jury pool.

(Honest, I'm trying NOT to let the fact that I want to see this trial "taint" my reasoning!)

Your wearing the same boots as me. That is my reasoning exactly!! Even Nancy Grace and Pixley said last night that the door is still open for camera in the trial phase. I still think this is ALL about not being hit with "tainting" the Jury pool AND pre-empting the need for a change of venue.
