And here I thought SUV drivers were responsible for all climate change.....

Have just skimmed this. Thank you. Now can this be connected to the Black Sea event? About same time?

Isn't this what has been known in geological terms as the cause of the 'Younger Dryas', which was a climatic cooling that lasted for hundreds of years?
To: Maelstrom
It was those dang Wooly Mammoth's and the CFC's in their hairspray that caused it.

Blame Ca-na-da!

"
I blame Global Warming."
The cause: man learns to play with fire. Evidence: "..and forest fires became more frequent".

The earth's age is supposively 4,500,000,000 years old and just 20,000 years ago the place I sit now went from being covered with massive glaciers to being prime farm country. Today whenever a little piece of glacier breaks off a massive panic occurs with the greens and news stories hit the wires telling us how man is responsible.

"Now can this be connected to the Black Sea event? About same time?" I think this flood is about 800 years too early.

Even more important that the fact that Bush caused the ice dam to break - how much did Bush know, and when did he know it?

Is the dating process accurate enough to distinguish the two being unlinked at 800 yrs division? Since the Greenland and Black Sea areas vary so dramaticly in climate, could that not affect the results of the dating tests by the 800 yr. variance? I don't know - just asking....
