About 5,000 protesters burned the North Korean flag, defaced images of North Korean leader Kim Jong Il, and called for North Korea to stop its suspected development of a nuclear arsenal.

An image of North Korean leader Kim Jong-il is printed on a commemorative postage stamp issued to mark the 50th anniversary of the Korean War truce in Pyongyang. North Korea celebrates July 27 as the 'Day of Victory in the Great Fatherland Liberation War.'

I'd suspect that these SK's are representative of the minority in that wretched country.

Minority or not, they were 5000 strong. I wonder if any US news agency will even mention this. Ten idiots on a corner in San Francisco with "Bush=Hitler" posters get coverage, but this probably won't.

I do not doubt there is a vocal contingent in SK which supports the US and is grateful for our presence.

But these people are older, and are dying out.

The younger ingrates, who do not remember the North's invasion, would never believe that Kim Il has any ill intentions towards the South, as he is their "Brother."

And yes, you're correct in saying that 10 burnt-out wannabe hippies with their signs get more attention than thousands who support W's foreign policy.

I completely agree on the old vs. young thinking. We need to get our troops out of SK now.
