In the 7.3 earthquake in Alaska last spring, the interior of Alaska moved a couple inches toward the southeast. Individual objects such as the Alyeska Pipeline moved much farther, 4 feet or more, and crevasses opened up on the road a foot or two wide, but that was closer to the epicenter. I can't imagine a village moving 4 miles unless it rolled all the way down a mountain.

Somebody got the words "Earthquake" and "Cyclone" mixed up.....I've done it myself.
