Know what I don't understand about the hatred of Garofalo, Maher, et al. for Bush? It's that Bush isn't really substantially more conservative than his father, Ronald Reagan, or other prominent figures associated with Republican politics. And yet he is hated by these people in a way I haven't seen since Nixon -- who at least gave some excuse for being reviled. WTH?

"Know what I don't understand about the hatred"

Supposedly Arnold said to be a Democrat means having an illness (or something like that). This phenomenom of Democrats foaming at the mouth has me puzzled too. They are so angry at Bush, and for what? I'm thinking Arnold is on to a clue here. Democrats know they are wrong, they're trying to cover up the truth, and because they're having a hard time dealing with Demo lies and deceit, they are going mad in the process. They simply can't deal with the fact that they're the bad guys here!

It's quite simple, IMHO: Bush took their power away. Whenever Bush 41, Reagan, or any other Republican has been in the White House going all the way back to the Hoover Administration (except for an aberration from 1953-55), the RATS have always maintained control of at least one house on Congress, and usually controlled both. Now they control nothing. Combine that with the fact that liberalism as an ideology has become intellectually bankrupt over the last 30 years, and as a result the Democratic Party has devolved into a corrupt organization concerned only with maintaining power above all else, and you're left with a bunch of SERIOUSLY PISSED-OFF losers.

It helps that Bush pulled this off despite the fact that the RATS dismissed him from the very beginning of his campaign as "Dumbya," a drunken frat boy who could never possibly pose a real challenge to the brilliant Albert Gore, Jr. He played the Democrats for the fools they are, and that just made them even angrier.

Amusingly, this hatred is also why the Democrats are doomed to lose in 2004. They continue to be consumed by hate, and they mistakenly believe that most of the Democratic base is just as angry. Their entire platform is going to be "Get Bush," and all that's going to do is energize the REPUBLICAN base, to the extent that it will energize anybody. (Cf. Florida 2002, when Terry McAuliffe ordered money be shifted from the New York state gubernatorial campaign - leaving an African-American candidate out to dry, like the hypocritical racists they are - into Florida, so that they could take out Jeb Bush purely as personal revenge for George W foiling their attempts to steal the 2000 election. Result? Jeb Bush won reelection in a landslide so large the RATS were utterly humiliated.)

(Ironic sidenote: In many ways, Nixon was one of the most liberal presidents of the 20th century. But he had that R after his name...)

I think that it's because he didn't step aside and allow Gore to be president despite Gore having lost the election.
