He's been virtually silent for two weeks on substantive positions he would take as governor, but Arnold Schwarzenegger plans to go on the offensive this week against claims that he is running solely on celebrity.

The actor, already facing criticism for his vague responses to questions on issues and his tightly controlled public appearances, plans to launch his first television ads and take extensive questioning Wednesday from political writers, campaign officials said.

Is this guy going to use all of his fiscally saved money to plow into all his socially liberal programs?

I am not sure I would want to vote for someone who uses "Oprah" as a venue, especially since Oprah has a fondness for South African dictators.

Really? Since President Bush appeared on Oprah, I guess that means you voted for someone else in 2000?

Schwarzenegger, a moderate Republican liberal RINO making his first bid for public office ...

Arnold Schwarzenegger is a self professed social liberal. He supports abortion rights, special rights for homosexuals and gun control. So far, Arnold has shown nothing that would indicate he is a fiscal conservative. Nothing.

I do like McClintock. He's solid, and has a bright future. Of all the people that will not be governor, he's my favorite.

But being an outtastater, I don't have a dog in this fight. I'm mainly here for the popcorn.

Oprah is guaranteed to throw easy set-up questions and to be very kind to Arnold. Oprah and Maria are buddies.

This would be a great opportunity to get some answers regarding his beliefs and intentions.

However, the media is too stupid to ask relevant questions.

Will Oprah be obliged to provide equal time to each of the 134 other candidates?

Termite the Terminator is a RAT with a PUB title. With Mr. and Mrs. Termite Terminator at the helm, CA will never leave RAT hands.

She shouldn't be, my understanding of it, is that she may be considered a press interview or something of the like, there are a numerious amount of loopholes. Hence, why Bush and Gore could go on Oprah but she wouldn't give the time of Day to Nader or Buchanan, and get away with it.

I think the rule is if its your show, or your thing, or movie (basically, your the star or co-star), then equal time must be given, if its not, then no.

Wasnt aware that South Africa had a dictator? When did that happen? According to the CIA Factbook, South Africa is a Republic with universal suffrage for those over 18 years of age.

Laugh all you want but Arnold still has more than twice as many people planning to vote for him as for Mr Blinky... I mean McClintock.

No, just the other candidates with a realistic chance of winning: Davis and Bustamante.
