Arnold in the race is a gift to the Republicans, it gives them a chance to recapture CA's governorship.

If you call electing a candidate who is for raising taxes, spending more, pro-abortion, for gun control, for the homosexual agenda, and who knows where on illegal immigration a win and a gift for republicans, you have an incredibly strange idea of conservatism. If this is the future of the republican party, there is no future for the republican party. Sure, they can win liberal votes by becoming liberals. Quite a pyrric (sp?) victory though, don't you think? But, to each his own. Apparently, the "R" next to a name is more important to you than any actual conservative ideas or goals. So be it.

If you call repeating the same pack of lies "debate", then you belong over at DU.

Raising taxes? He spent quite a bit of time yesterday condemning taxes. Guess you didn't read the threads? The Howard Jarvis Taxpayer Association chose him as their keynote speaker for Proposition 13 anniversary last spring. He is NOT for raising taxes.

Spending more? He said he will be making CUTS... which results in smaller government, we conservatives LOVE smaller govt.

He is pro-choice, but against partial-birth abortion. Not 100% conservative, but not far left.

He is against assault weapons, but pro-gun. Again, a moderate there.

For homosexual agenda? He has never come out supporting gay marriages that I know, please correct me if wrong. And gay marriage IS the homosexual agenda. Again moderate.

And who knows where on illegal immigration? He was very public about supporting Prop 187, cutting social services off to illegals. VERY CONSERVATIVE, agreed?

McClintock supporters have to stop repeating a litany of lies and half-truths... it's very Clintonian.
