**VIDEO**ANTI-N. KOREAN PATRIOT-'FREEPER' ROUGHED UP IN SEOUL AFTER BURNING N.KOREA FLAG (AGAIN!)
Independent News (Seoul, Korea) Video ^ | 21 August 2003 | AmericanInTokyo

Posted on 08/21/2003 9:47:49 AM PDT by AmericanInTokyo

A fervent anti-Communist, anti-North Korea, pro-USA demonstrator, Mr. Lee, was again arrested in S. Korea today, for carrying signs against Kim Jong il and also cursing (the appeasing) liberal S. Korean president Roh Mu Hyong.

Lee also burned a North Korean flag again, this time on a busy intersection.

Mr. Lee is backed up by his organization. Protests actually AGAINST Kim Jong il and in SUPPORT of President Bush and America are increasing recently in S. Korea.

Here is a (Korean Language) page with streaming video of the violent scene today as Mr. Lee fervently yelled out anti-Kim Jong-il slogans, was beat up by about 10 young plain-clothed policemen on orders from the S. Korean government, was able to burn a North Korean flag in downtown Seoul, had his protest sign ripped, and finally accepts his fate to be arrested and placed in a patrol car by S. Korean policeman.

The video runs about 4 minutes and is largely self explanatory. Scroll down to see the Windows Media video box midpage. (Be Patient)

"FReeper" in the sense the guy "FReeped" some mightily strong political forces in S. Korea, to get his message across the Kim Jong il and his regimes sucks, and President Roh Mu Hyong (S. Korea) is even more a jerk for appeasing the North. I guess this makes the protester a defacto adopted "FReeper".

Good to see the burning; sorry to see the fracas. Why even a sizeable minority of the S.Koreans hold any respect (or whatever it is) for the truly evil N.Korea is unfathomable to me.

You wouldn't happen to be able to translate that green sign (in the video) for us, would you?

Well, (re: S. Koreans actually cozying up to Pyongyang) it all has to do with payoffs and bribery and sex and favors and status and influence and fear and gutlessness, not much different to the reasons for the CLINTONITE appeasement and treason over North Korean issues just ten years ago onward....

The first sentence in Korean hangul says "Kim Jong il is a criminal", and below that is something on President Roh Mu Hyon equally unflattering. I'll update (the video moves quickly). This was just before he was "jumped" by all those Korean Barney Fife's trying to keep him from yelling and holding his sign (which they ripped).

He's a brave man. Is it safe to assume freedom of speech is looked down upon in S. Korea as it is in N. Korea?

I've been doing some genealogy research lately on my dad's side of the family. Am learning that a few of my relatives (great uncle, etc.) were kidnapped by the North at the close of the "conflict" because of their techical training.
