After receiving complaints from parents in his district, around Iowa and across the country, Downs canceled a new policy that prohibited students at Willowbrook Elementary School in Altoona from talking during lunch.

They simply should have used the silent period of lunch for silent prayer. That would have gone over well! ;)

Haha.
I have my kids in a private school in part because the public school here is worse than a prison. I doubt prisoners have to eat with someone shouting at them through a megaphone. Just hideous.
