BOMBAY, India At least two explosions rocked Bombay (search), India's financial capital, on Monday, police said. New Delhi Television reported that six people were killed and 10 injured in four simultaneous blasts.
Javed Ahmed, police commissioner for Bombay, said he was only aware of two explosions, one of which was near the Gateway of India (search), a famous landmark built by India's former British colonizers. He had no information on casualties.
The other explosion, also in southern Bombay, was near the Pydhonie police station, Ahmed said.
The television report said that six people were killed and 10 were injured in four blasts, but gave no further information.
