Meat is right. One of my former managers was an offensive lineman drafted in the 5th or 6th round by the Patriots about 20 some odd years ago. He blew out his knee in the last scrimmage before the start of his rookie season. They wrote him a little check for his time and effort and said, "Nice knowing you, Good Luck!"
