James Golden left Limbaugh about 3 or 4 years ago.

Golden hangs in the studio with Rush up to this day. Rush refers to his reactions to what he's saying all the time.

While I typically agree with Rush's points, what place does this have in a sports show? He already has 3 hours a day to do that. Just stick to football commentary.

That IS what he's going to do. Of course! How could you think otherwise?

His opinion pieces will be on the subject of *football*.

SI: What NFL player has, like you, "talent on loan from God"?

Limbaugh: Kurt Warner.

Loan status: Past Due, in collection.

James “Bo Snerdley” Golden (a brilliant political commentator in his own right) is now safely ensconced as official Program Observer at the southern command studio.

Anyway, I am certain that Rush is going to blow this jerk from Sports Illustrated away with his contribution to ESPN. A consummate broadcaster and knowledgeable sports fan and Steeler die-hard, I predict that Rush will totally avoid politics (save perhaps for the occasional satirical quip) and provide thoughtful insight and unique perspective, a latter day Howard Cosell.

It promises to be fun and entertaining.

What these "basing their opinions on" people are really afraid of is that Rush will be shown to have no tail, pitchfork etc. They are right to be afraid - Rush is very entertaining and will be a big hit. They have no pundit who could even come close and they know it.

During the football season Tony Kornheiser has James Carville do football analysis. I like Kornheiser (and he's a liberal and not shy about saying so), but I don't like Carville. So you know what I do? Why I change the station during that segment. This Johnson is a meathead. And a hypocrite.
