what a bunch of a holes..shooting their own dog...
heck if a civilian shoots a police dog ...he or she is going away for a long time..
I cant believe they couldnt hit the perp without hitting the dog..
They should get vests for their dogs..

I believe this is by far the stupidest comment I've ever read on FR, and I've been here quite a while. You should see some his other comments. They're real doozies.

>>You are wrong. This particular dog was the "moral equivilent" of a police officer. Which made it superior to a mere "human being, made in the image of God."<<
No - I am right. The dog may be LEGALLY the equivalent of a police officer, but he is definitely not MORALLY equivalent. Moral laws are written by God.
It just proves the old axiom, "What's legal isn't necessarily moral, and what's moral isn't necessarily legal." Pornography and abortion come to mind...

Here is the most likely scenario. Man raises hand with sandal to dog. dog goes for the arm with the weapon and is jumping up of standing up on rear legs as the officers start shooting hte perp. Dog is in the line of fire.

Dog is in the line of fire. Ever seen a K9 in action? If it was going for the perp's arm, it would be all over him. The perp would be unable to do anything. There was no reason to shoot. These morons killed their dog for no good reason. The average IQ of the LAPD must be lower than that of their dogs.
