If you've got a quote where Schwarzenegger has stated he'll sign this bill please provide it

On Fox News's "O'Reilly Factor," on Aug. 16, 2000, Schwarzenegger described himself as "extremely liberal" on social issues, and said: "I'm for choice. The women should have the choice. The women should decide what they want to do with their bodies. I'm all for that."

Was Arnold lying?

Well Roscoe I guess you don't want Bush re-elected in 2004 then. After all, he's been President for 2.5 years, and was governor for longer than that and didn't end abortion in his state or our nation.

It was a choice between Bloomberg and Mark Green. If I had to make a choice between someone that told me he was an a$$hole and someone that made me try to think he was on my side when I knew he wasn't, I'd choose the a$$hole every time.

I'd rather have the Bloombergs and the Hahns than the Greens and Villairagosas. I don't see the point in electing the worse guy for the job, even if the other guy is only marginally better.

I have a bit of a hard time believing a candidate would use the word extreme, but if he did he did.

Now, please address why you don't take both Bushes to task for not stopping abortion in our nation.

"Schwarzenegger cannot affect abortion policy."

Are you ceding that your assertion was false or just trying to run away from it?

Having Arnold as governor will not in any way guarantee Bush wins California. In fact, the backlash from a Cruz governorship is more likely to do that, so if that's all you care about, Arnold should not be your man.

...furthermore, please explain why you think Davis or Bustamante would be better than Schwarzenegger if McClintock can't get his numbers up.

Every one of us would rather see McClintock installed as governor. So what? We don't always get our first choice.

What's a matter bud, no anwer for that question?

It's a very real possibility but you don't want to face it so the strawman charge once again raises it's ugly head.

LOL, disrupt... distrupt... disrupt...

Toss all these polls out - Republicans need to unite and push for one man or woman, and hope for the best. Any reliance on any of these polls is unwise.

Bush was against the recall for just this reason.

Listen, you were wrong, and you still are wrong, that McClintock could cost Arnold the race. I still predict that Cruz comes in third, and when it happens you'll wish you'd backed someone you agree with on at least one issue.

Sorry, there were a number of errors so I corrected them and reposted...

LOL. If Bustamante gets elected even though we're going to be in debt by $47 billion next year this time, do you think there'll be a backlash after that...

When does the backlash come in, $75 billion in debit, $100, $125, $500 billion? You guys are a riot.

What's the status of that bill? The article you are quoting from is almost 1 1/2 years old.......

Is it still pending, dead, or what?

Quotes from another thread:

Bustamante as governor would not be good news for Bush. As a Democrat in the governor’s chair, he would inherit Davis’s fiscal problems but not his personal baggage. Accordingly, the election of a Republican Oct. 7 suddenly becomes a Bush priority. Nobody gives 2002 nominee Bill Simon a prayer, and state Sen. Tom McClintock is a very dark horse. That is why, on the day after Schwarzenegger nudged aside Riordan to become a candidate, the President declared of the five-time Mr. Universe: “I think he’d make a good governor.” (As you were saying...)

Longtime Democratic hit man Bob Mulholland talked about shooting “real bullets” at Schwarzenegger (though state chairman Torres said he cautioned him against “using that word again”).  Note that Torres didn't say he disagreed with Mulholland.
