Wesley Clark Admits He Lied
Fox News | August 26, 2003 | Fox News

Posted on 08/26/2003 4:55:03 PM PDT by Peach

Wesley Clark admitted the White House DID NOT pressure him to lie that Iraq was behind 9/11. He now admits it was a Canadian think tank.

Previously, Clark had insisted that the White House called him, as the towers were falling, to pressure Clark to go national that Iraq was behind the attack. He has backed off that claim and admits he was "confused".

I thought Clark would be the only candidate that could end the Bush presidency

I think we also need to be scared of Dean. He worries me.

I agree. Prior to the earlier thread about Clark thinking the White House was behind his firing from CNN and now this, I'd have bet on Dean/Clark.

Now, I just think the left has lost their collective minds.

I hope Rush discusses this tomorrow; it will make tuning in worthwhile.

He's a Democrat....they lie....it would oly be news if a Dem told the truth.

I saw Brit say that and wondered why this just came out.

Dean looks good and for the unaware voting public, perhaps he'll get their vote. His performance on Meet the Press was abysmal.

Also, I think Dean was an abortionist when he was a doctor and if more is found on that, there's no way he'll be president.

After reading a post earlier in this thread that Dean actually wrote a letter to the NYT editor clarifying who called him on 9/11, I wondered why it took two weeks for this story to make it to FNC. Just more reporters who aren't doing their jobs, I guess.

I think Dean will self-destruct in the debates in the fall. Besides his obnoxious and arrogant manner, he is very hot-tempered and is bound to say something really outrageous.

My preference would be that he and Kerry get into a shoving match and end up wrestling each other to the floor, while the rest of the dems head for the hills, leaving an empty stage except for the two wrestlers.

And it would be really cool if Kerry bloodied his nose while Kerry's famous hair is pulled off and revealed to be a toupee.

Well, I can dream, can't I?

Dean has been known to publically lose his temper. He admitted this on an interview I saw and he said it happened when he was pushed by the media.

I wonder if there are other incidents of Dean publically losing his temper. I've had lots of experience working with physicians. Many of them are extremely arrogant and egocentric and don't accept criticism well.

Speaking of Perot....his running mate Adm. Stockdale ("Who am I and What am I doing here") was far more qualified in the intergrity dept. than that LIAR Clark.

Meglomaniac......if the ego fits.

Good one! It's been fun watching the Rats beat each other up verbally; let's hope it gets a little physical among the meglamaniacs.

I'll never forget Gore sort of stalking President Bush on the stage during the debates and the next morning the president's mother saying on GMA she was afraid Gore was going to hit her son! Priceless. Sometimes dreams do come true.

The madman is now suggesting that the White House pressured CNN to fire him.

Of course, he says he has no proof, only rumors.

Sounds like a president wannabe in the mould of slick willie.

Clark isn't even on the White Houses radar screen . He as an inflated sense of self. The guy doesn't count, no Clinton General has a snowball's chance in Hades.

I bet even CNN realized it was unseemly to have a potential Presidential nominee provide "impartial" analysis of the War. The fact that he doesn't see the inherent conflict of interest is telling. He has no character.

Also Clark is from Arkasas-- I think we have had enough of politicians from that state for awhile.

The thing that I find most hillarious is that Clark thinks he is in the same league as Ike. Newsflash, Weasley, the average American never got emotionally invested in your pseudo war in the Balkans.

Saying you were the mastermind behind the strategery in a War that many deemed was not relevant to our national interests and that few people followed is not politically significant.

The Public's Verdict:

who are you? who cares? Go away you counterfeit, partisan, Clintonista!

Dean and Russert went at it pretty good a few weeks ago and were actually shouting at each other. Dean kept insisting he didn't need to know how many active military personnel we had in the field and Russert wouldn't back down from his assertion that it was an important fact to know.

Dean did not come off good in that interview at all and his temper definitely was showing.

Glad you liked it. If Clark confuses Canadian think tanks with the WHite House at moments of crisis, he is definitely NOT someone we want in a position of power or trust.

We need to remember these little "incidents" should Clark receive even the VP nomination. Combine the "confused" Clark with the explosive, anti-war, anti-national security Dean and what do we have? Another Clinton/Gore disaster.

Clark was born an orthodox Jew and I suspect the jewish Left (the antithesis to the Neocons) and the Clinton/Mcawful axis are pushing this fruit loop.

We had a thread earlier in the day about Clark suggesting the White House forced CNN to fire him. As though CNN would do anything the White House suggested.

he just cannot get around the fact that he stated publicly and often that the White House tried to pressure him, when in actuality it was a think tank.

If indeed anyone contacted him about that at all.
