While most of official Washington was captivated with the fight on the Senate floor to pass an energy bill before Congress left town for its August vacation, a vicious campaign was under way behind the scenes to smear two leading scientists for pointing out serious flaws in the science behind the theory of human-caused climate change.

Two HArvard scientists write a paper basically saying that global warming (caused by humans) is not supported by the scientific evidence. Their paper is peer reviewed and appears in a (presumably) prestigious scientific journal. They are then savaged.
Savaged by who? Besides Mr. Mann (lacky of the UN and NWO), who else is attacking them? Who called for the editor's resignation and why does that person or group think they have the authority to demand that?
While I do not doubt for a second that this story is accurate, the perpetrators of these attacks must be named, and brought to account for their actions. Who are they to claim these guys from Harvard are "fringe" and even if they are fringe, what if they're correct fringe? Don't give these faceless bureaucrats/scientists/PC socialists a pass!
I want names, profiles and investigations of the nameless attackers.
The article does a good job as far as it goes, but it needs to identify these people and start sticking the mic in their faces for a change.
The use of the expression "mainstream view" as evidence supporting one's scientific theory is an oxymoron.
In fourteen hundred and ninety-two
"The world is flat" was the mainstream view
So if you're PC, like a democrat
You've got your proof--the world is flat.
